Naughty or Nice.......

From our house to yours....Merry Christmas to all!!

I try to be nice for sure....most of the time, but as I look at the date of my last blog I feel kinda naughty....tee hee.  Sorry ladies, these last couple of weeks, I don't even know where the time went... it goes so fast it is unbelievable! 

Now that the cookies have all been baked, the presents all bought, wrapped, and opened, and the tummies are all fat and filled up with goodies, I can catch up a little bit.

A couple of weeks ago the boys and I made a list of some of the things they wanted to do over Christmas Break...and we have actually done some of them, not all, but some.  We made GINGERBREAD HOUSES,
we went to the NUTCRACKER BALLET,  we went and helped at OPERATION SANTA in Rochester like we do every year, we have not gone ice skating or been to the zoo lights or been to see our beloved cousins yet....maybe tomorrow night!  All in all I feel pretty good about all of our accomplishments.

Always a mood lifter for sure!  I love it!  Today we are still getting ready for the UPS Sale ladies, if you have time (ha ha ha) go through your things and bring in your un want ables (is that even a word?)  Well you know what I mean.  In the mean time, I will continue with the inventory! My Irish Dancing Son had his Christmas party and recital last  night and Of course I took a few photos...have a great Day ladies, and remember...it is the season for giving!  Stay safe and warm!

****GINGERBREAD HOUSES****

 Hooray!!! We have a day to do the Gingerbread houses! So Happy about that. Time is such a valuable thing these days!Came home from work yesterday and got everything set up for the kids, so when they got home from school they would be surprised! They are so ridiculous when they are all together! We laughed a lot and had so much fum trying (and trying) to get the houses to stand up....and just when we thought the sides and roof were good...the roof would slide off! OMG!!! So silly, these kids. Good Times!

I just wanted to send a BIG thank all of you who have brought gifts in for the kids, and remind those who have not...if you want to there is still time to do so.  Friday I will take all that you have brought and deliver them to the school, where my sons and their class mates are doing a toy drive for kids in need.  also...

Such a beautiful sight!  I love it!  Even if it is short lived.  So today at the store is 10 % off of all BAZZILL cardstock, and tomorrow is 30% off of all CHRISTMAS PAPERS!!!  Yippie!  Just wanted to share with you a couple of photos from our OPEN HOUSE last Friday with SANTA!!  We had a pretty good time with the SANTA MAN!

Good Morning Ladies....  Wow well if we needed rain, I should say we don;t any more, but do try to keep in mind the rain is why we live in such a beautiful area...and I would rather the  rain than the snow for long long long periods of time.  That being said....I have class to tell you about,  The "Wintertime Jingle Album"  was postponed from Thanksgiving time when we had all the snow to next Tuesday night.  from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  There are still a few spot available if you need a cute little album as a gift or to keep for yourself.  Call the store for details.

Oh My goodness....It is so beautiful here in Rainier!!!  the snow is so pretty,
The kids had a 2 hour late start today, were at school for 2 hours and then got sent home because of all the snow!  I am home baking cookies and sewing hats for my show this weekend at Ocean Shores, listening to Christmas music all day on 95.7 FM  What a great Day!

My Dear Friend told me the other day that friends should let each other know how important they are to us and that we love them...I have been thinking about this, and I totally agree.  My friend here in Rainier lost her husband last week, we went to the funeral on Sunday.  It was an extremely sad day.  I believe now more then ever that this is true...tell your friends and the people that are important in your life that they are special, that you love them, that they are important.  You never know....that is all.

Be grateful now!

Cold cold and more cold!!!

Good morning everyone...

My husband is out winding up the hoses and draining the pool filter so it all won't freeze.  I will be cooking up a few things for the freezer so NEXT time the power goes, we will be a little better prepared.

I just found out that my daughter may not be coming home for Thanksgiving...that just about breaks my heart, cause that is the one thing that we do every year...go to the beach as a family and spend about 4 1/2 days together...It makes me sad as I see her slipping into her own...; (

I think I told you all that the HARRY POTTER paper is here...it will not last long so get it quickly.

We have a POT LUCK crop on Friday night, just bring a project and something to share and join us Friday night till midnight...$10.00 buys your way in...

Saturday is a plethora of classes, and Sunday is our first annual ROUND ROBIN... THAT IS 4 DESIGNERS, 4 DIFFERENT PROJECTS, call the store for details on that!

Crazy wet and cold and windy weather today... AGAIN

Well, yippie...there is power once again...we were without out in Rainier for 33 hours, not too bad.  We have a small generator that we were able to plug in the fridge and the freezer to save our food.  Last night the boys and I all sat around one lamp in the living-room that we also had plugged into the generator and played SORRY.  Sometimes having the power go out is not such a bad thing. 

We do have power at the store...so that is good.  We got the NEW "Harry Potter" paper yesterday, so that is fun also some fun fun fun "Sock Monkey" papers too, this is too cute.

There is a beautiful vintage card class tonight!  An Advent canvas class tomorrow night and another card class on Saturday and the "snowman and mitten" banner class on Saturday ....Also a darling "Gift tags and gift treat" class Saturday too.  So many choices, so little time!  Check out the photos on the website.

Also just wanted to say that the classes that Carole and I taught up in Bellevue last weekend were a great success.  All the ladies and one guy loved the class, lots of fun shopping, great food up there, and generally a great time had by all, we thank everyone who helped... cut, work, and teach...thanks to all of you for our continued success!

One more thing....my friend Sherri makes these beautiful aprons, and will custom make one for anyone.  They are lined, beautifully sewn, and darn right adorable.  I have this one in the photo at the store if you would like to see it.  They would make a great gift for someone this year for Christmas and they are only $20.00

Today is FRIDAY....again!

 A fabulous week for us at the Budihas house.  Hunter made it through a weekend of cooking in the rain for Scouts, Andrew is getting an "A" in poetry...Hilary will be home in a couple of weeks for Thanksgiving, I have a huge surprise planned for my husbands 50th birthday, the store is great, I love all of our wonderful customers, and the SUPER CROP is tomorrow!!!!  What could be better?

We celebrated last night and went out for pizza, (we never do this) the boys and I stopped for a few photos on the way home!  See you all soon, Come by and see the changes at the store, I did a little re-arranging yesterday!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! WE ARE BACK ON - LINE!!!!

oh...thank you thank you thank you!!!!  thank you ladies for your patience...what a nightmare!  Well enough of that, we are back and that is all that is important.  And I have so much to tell you.  I will try to spread it out over a couple of days.

Hi girls....I just wanted to let you gals all know that the tombstone album class went off without a hitch, everyone had such a great time and the albums got finished and turned out GREAT!!!  Jennifer has one (1) kit left from this class if you were unable to make it, it is at the store now so, if you are interested, please stop by.

Also, just wanted to say that we got a HUGE box of PRIMA yesterday...yes that is right, all Fall colors, so beautiful....you have to check out the selection....And a re-stock of "Bling" from Teresa Collins came in today too, new stickeles...glue, lots of good stuff this week.  Stop by to say hello, and remember to enjoy THIS day...It is a gift, especially arount 6:20 pm as the sun sets.... Good Morning Ladies....

HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE!!!

Boy It has been so so busy in my life these last few days....I worked at my kids school on Friday in Rainier, at the Library in the high school, that is always interesting!

Saturday was my oldest sons birthday!  He turned 17 on Saturday at 5:11 am...my sweet boy came to us!
Saturday night was the party, 13 teenage boys met at our house to eat eat eat pizza, and fill up before heading out to the corn maze!  Cold Cold Cold!

Sunday was a day with the family, always a great time.

Monday, was a day at school again...at the Middle school this time and what drama there is in middle school!  And then to the Pumpkin Patch with the boys....

But today at SHARIN MEMORIES... we are putting all the HALLOWEEN PAPERS on sale for 25% off for the whole week.  EEK!!!

Yes ladies....we are open now on SUNDAYS!!!!!!!!

It is true, I know I know.....we have been closed all Summer on Sundays and Mondays, and now we have re-opened on SUNDAYS!!!   There are so many things to do and make and create now that all the kids have returned to school, we have a little more time.  Ladies the store is packed full of goodness, lots of fun and new ideas, classes, make and takes, projects....so much to do. 

These Fall days are my favorite too.  I am working on a cool new acrylic book useing the GRAPHIC 45  Steampunk Debutante.....with lots of paper flowers I made myself.  It is really coming together well. 

My son Andrew is turning 17 on Saturday and we will be at the Rutledge Cornmaze for the 10th year in a row, he loves to invite all his friends and go at night...I just supply the rides and the pizza, well now some of them are driving themselves.

BEAUTIFUL AND SUNNY IN OLYMPIA!!!

I AM HAPPY TO REPORT THE GORGEOUS SUN TODAY HAS MADE AN  APPEARANCE TODAY ......THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

But I guess we better not say it too loud.   I hope you all had a great weekend...I cannot believe that we are into October already!  Shocking!  I LOVE FALL THOUGH!  It is my favorite time of the year...we are looking forward to the burn ban being lifted so we can have bonfires in the back yard, roasting marshmellows...burning sticks, the hot hot heat of when your legs burn through your jeans when you get to close...(I love that)

My son turns 17 here in a couple of weeks, and we will be going to the corn maze (again) for his party, lots of pizza for him and all his friends, and no cake...yes that is right Andrew doesn't like cake...we make a glazed donut pyramid for his cake!  He loves that best!  Funny Kid!

I wanted to remind you that we have our 3rd MAKE AND TAKE TUESDAY  TONIGHT!!!  come by at 6 pm at join us in this  fun new thing we are doing at Sharin Memories...it only takes 20 minutes!

Had a Great Great weekend!

Saturday, my husband and I made 14 nas 1/2 quarts of home made apple sauce!  athat is 80 lbs. of apples, and when we were done...we made 7 pints of raspberry jam.  Whew!  That was a long day, but so worth it!

Sunday, had a fun Day yesterday with a friend at the WESTPORT WINARY...have you ever been there?  It was Fabulous.  We did a little wine tasting and then sat and had some warm soup!  It was the Smash em Stomp em Make em WINE at the Beach Festival...Great Music and Great Wine, the sculpture garden was really cool too.  It rained as we left Olympia and some of the way there, and when we got to Aberdeen....It was SUNNY!!!  it was just a beautiful day! 

After the Winary, we thought we needed to go to the beach and pay homage to the beautiful weather!  And what a way to do it, we climbed up on the jetti, the waves were so HUGE and crashing into the rocks....there were surfers, and all kinds of folks out enjoying the sunny day!   Just a stunning Fall day, (no jackets required) 

Got home just in time to help the boys with their homework for a couple of hours, watched a little football, ate supper and that was about it!

Friday FRiday Friday!!!

Love Fridays....it used to be the only day I worked here at the Sharin Memories, and I loved to come to work...now that I work almost every day, I still love Fridays because now I have a couple of days off with my family!  Anyway, I wanted to let everyone know that starting THIS SUNDAY...we are open Sundays till Springtime!!!

Very Exciting to have Shelley back and working on some of the Sundays for us and the rest of us will work a shift or two also.  Here are a couple more photos of the up coming classes...ENJOY!

OCTOBER IS UPON US!!! EEKS!

Check out these adorable projects coming to a scrapbook store near you!  (hint hint) the first one is a Haunted Halloween book,  It is a board book that is about 71/2 by 9"  I think...It is so so cute with a witch hanging upside down in the chimney, spooky trees, and lantern cut with the cricut, and many other embellishments.

Good morning ladies... so sorry it has been a while since I posted...Life gets  in the way some times.  So much to tell...

Last night was my 2nd Tuesday night Make and Take, it was pretty cute too if you missed it, try to come next week, like I said before...I have so many ideas in my head floating around...I just have to share.

IT'S HUMP DAY!

Yes...Wednesday is upon us, the Puyallup Fair is in full swing, Homecoming (for us) has come and gone...we won our game by the way!,  all the new shows are on T.V., and all the new Halloween and Fall papers are coming in.  I had 8 boxes of new product come in yesterday....I am almost done pricing and getting everything put out! Whew!

The new Graphic 45..."STEAMPUNK DEBUTANTE" is here, Halloween from "ECHO PARK"  the beach paper you have all been waiting for called tidepools, from "CREATIVE IMAGINATIONS" is here, and BO BUNNY  "HOOLIGANS" will be here tomorrow....so many new things...classes, make and takes, crop PINK, (October 9th),super crop ...(November 6th)  just stay in touch ladies...so we can keep you updated!  Happy happy joy joy!!

Next I want to tell you about a new PROJECT I am trying at the store...It is going to be called something clever like.... Make and Take Tuesday   I have a lot of things floating around up in my head that need to come out.  Here's the scoop...every Tuesday night....when I close at 6 pm...I will have a limited number of make and takes, with a small fee to create...this week it is a darling little treat container, This will be perfect for your kids to learn to make too, great for school activities, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, church groups, day care kids, teachers, mailmen and women...anyone would love to get one of these sweet treats...you will be able to create  and also learn to make a paper rose for the top...it is already in a kit ready for us to make...This weeks mini make and take is $2.00 .  Stop by and check it out...I have been telling a few of you about it, and I hope you will join me for the fun...See you at 6pm

Good morning everyone!  It is Friday!  And it is Rainer High Schools Homecoming game tonight!!  Go Mountaineers!!!

We have had a productive week here at Sharin Memories...the Fed Ex man and the UPS man have brought many gifts....I love it!  We have lots of new goodies...Martha Stewart Scoring boards, new Thickers, new Halloween papers from Echo Park, (very cutsie), new Gold, Silver and Copper leafing pens, new cat eye chalks, and yes even som shh!  Christmas papers...(I know it is a little early)  but we must get started early on our projects...right?  Enjoy the weekend ladies!

HAPPY MONDAY TO ALL OF YOU!

This week is SPIRIT week at Rainier High School!  WHY you ask?  Well our first home Football game is Friday night and it is our HOMECOMING game, and then the HOMECOMING dance is Saturday night.  Now I am not sure if all of you know, but I now have 2 boys in H.S. One is extremely shy...(that being my oldest son) and my youngest son is extremely outgoing...well you guessed it...the younger one has asked and she accepted a date for the HOMECOMING dance....(we are all very excited)

Now it being SPIRIT week and all, the kids have a dress up day every day of the week ending with all spirit colors, but,...today...HIPPIE day...so here is Hunter, my youngest...ready for the bus...Don't ask where he got these clothes...(lol)

CHRISTMAS CARD CLASS KIT!!!

Suzanne is trying something NEW ladies...She is teaching a Christmas Card Class next week, trying to get a jump on the season!.  But here is the twist, you can purchase the kit at the store...it is already bagged up with instructions for 7 cards!  All the embellishments and bling....this way, if something comes up and you can't make it to the class next Wednesday the 15th of Sept.  you still have the kit, and you can do it at your leisure!...There are 9 kits left, so come on it and join the fun or get a kit to go.  Here is a sampling of the cards...

OUTING WITH FRIENDS!!!

Well I forgot to tell you that I went on a day trip with 2 of my girlfriends.  We had so much fun, giggling and scrapbook store shopping (of course), we found a really cute little store up in Port Angeles,  going out for lunch, a stroll on the beach in LaPush (one of my most favorite places in Washington) and then headed to Forks for a little TWILIGHT fun!  Yes it is true there is a Twilight store on every corner there in the main part of town.  It was a full day of fun.  I love my friends!  Thanks Girls!

BLING YOUR BRA!!!

That's right...you heard me correctly!  It is that time again where SHARIN MEMORIES will do our small part to help raise awareness and then in October CAROLE is hosting a dinner crop for the Susan G. Komen Fund and 1/2 of the proceeds goes towards research!  Anyways...tee hee... the reason I am telling you all of this is:  We had our first bra turned in today...now remember.... the sky is the limit to your creativity as you can see!  Have fun and get busy!

My daughter is finished working for the Summer...it seems I have not really spent any time with her as this is the first time she has EVER worked 40+ hours a week.  It was such a joy to be around her today...or I should say yesterday.  She helped around the Store a bit, had a dance party upstairs and then we took some silly "self portraits"  They crack me up, but after looking at them, I realized we DO look a lot alike...people tell me that all the time and I always take it as such a nice compliment cause I think Hilary is so so pretty!  In another 2 weeks she will be back at college...living in her very first Apartment!  She and her 2 roommates are really excited about it!  Here are just some of the silly photos I will treasure when she is away!  ENJOY THE SUN TODAY!!!

This is such strange and unique paper...I cannot wait to get my hands on it.  I have been looikng on line for some fun things to do with it.  You'll have to stop by and have a looksie!
