Oh my Goodness! It's been a long time!

Today is February 13Th already!  Time surely does FLY!! 

Had the Valentines Day Crop yesterday at the store...it went GREAT, I was worried, cause it is so cozy...but  I think 10 at a time is a good number.  I have decided to do a Sunday Crop every month.  I liked it! 

Well let's see...Bunko....check, scrapbook club...check, Valentines Day crop...check, next we have the introduction of our newest club!  It is the "challenge club"  I have already sold 2 kits, and I only made up 6 kits to sell to start with!  Here's the deal....we, (Cassie and I) have pulled paper and coordinating card stock and added lots of fun ribbon and embellishments into a kit, you buy for $20 and you can create anything you want to.  It can be layouts, cards, wall hangings, frames, ANYTHING!  Then we meet in a month and we all share what we have made!  We get new ideas, and get re-inspired...Cassie already has her samples in the store!  And they are beautiful!

We also started the "Project Life my Way" group in January and it was very cool!  We had about 9 ladies I think in the store.  This club is FREE, just come in and bring your stuff, and let's get all your photos into albums, I have filled the store with lots and lots of varieties of page protectors and we just meet after 6 on the 4Th Friday of the month from 6 to 9 or so!  This club is open to anyone, and there is not a sign up...just come!

The next big thing coming up is the Northwest paper Chase....March 2ND thru the 18TH.....check it out!!

So much has been going on at Sharin Memories and in my personal life too.  I am looking forward to a slower pace for a couple of weeks before the BIG retreat!  What Retreat you ask...we here are all the details:

then as always I teach the SCRAPBOOK club that is the 2ND Friday of each month

and we also have the BUNCO group that meets the first Wednesday of each month...we are "Bunco for Boobies"  most of our monies collected go to fight Breast Cancer!

We are going to start a NEW club called "Project Life"  this is a non-paying club...it is a group of us that want to get together and create, get all our photos into albums without a lot of fuss, we are working on details so stay tuned...I will leave you with a couple of family photos from the holiday!  These are from when we went to the Nut Cracker at the Washington Center and some of the ginger bread house making!

Almost December

Sorry sorry sorry.....I know it has been so long since I have written.  So much has happened!  A brief summary:

Carole and I lost our lease and were basically kicked out of the old house (store)

Carole is on a new adventure and I have re-located and am on my own  (at a new store)

The old store is now a marijuana store and giving the landlord more money for rent!

The old store got shut down by the feds for distributing marijuana!

Hunter (my youngest son)  and I just returned last week from Anaheim California where he competed in his Irish dance and is now going on to Nationals next Summer in Chicago (in July) (yuck) He is super excited about this!

We just returned from our family yearly trip to Pacific Beach for Thanksgiving !  I do the bazaar at Ocean Shores and the family plays Risk, watches movies and plays on the beach!  It is always a great time!

At this moment, doing laundry from the beach, and emptying out the coolers from the beach trip.

And that should bring you all up to date.  I will try to be better!

NEW BEGINNINGS!!!!

I just read the last entry to my blog, It was kind of sad...but hopeful.  And here I am 2 weeks later on my second week in business, so excited about the "new store"  My husband and 2 boys have been so instrumental in the opening of this new adventure, I could not have done it without them and am so grateful for all their love and support! 

I just had the GRAND OPENING this last weekend !  I would have to say it was GRAND alright!  It was so busy at one point on Saturday I thought...I wonder how many people CAN be in here at one time?  I had a couple of GREAT demos and make and takes too!  Thank you thank you thank you to Cheri, Tangie, Sherry and Becky for all their dedication and the giving of their time so we could had a great opening!!!!!

Now onto NEW things going on!  The FALL SUPER CROP date has been set and the ladies are signing up so do not delay!  Here are the details:

Closing Doors!

I have heard it said...that where one door closes, another opens!

This is what has happened recently at Sharin Memories.  Two weeks ago, I was a sad, hurt crazy lady who had just been told that our lease had expired and that they would NOT be renewing it!  We had 16 days to vacate the premises, liquidate all of the product in our store, and split the assets. say goodbye to all my friends, look for a NEW place (hmmm, maybe)...What a day that was.

Well lots of worrying and tears and sadness was going on in my heart.  Thanks to all of  you, my friends and loyal customers, I have decided to re-open!  And I have found a wonderful place.  It is a bit smaller, but we will make do.  I love it!  I have been working hard and fast for a week and and  hoping to re-open on September 1st. 

I have some beautiful paper lines in already.  Take a look!  Let me know what you think, and what you would like me to get into the store!

I cannot express how lucky and blessed I am to have such GREAT customers that I call my friends...thank you so much for all your help and love and support!

WELL JUST LIKE THE WEATHER AROUND HERE...

Things are always subject to change.   There I was Last Friday at work.....working HARD as usual (bwwaa ha ha) looking at NEW product from one of my favorite reps...and the landlord walks in and waves a paper in my face and tells me our lease is up and we have to be OUT in 16 days.......

Whaaaat?????  I know right?  I am still reeling a little bit about it.  I was really crabby and quite hateful and so so sad...crying most of the weekend.  I thought... had WE done something wrong?!?  DID the landlords hated us?!?  What in the name of all that is good and right is going on here?!?

Well as it turns out...it was nothing personal.....Well IT IS PERSONAL to me!!!  To kick me out of this store that I love!  You are damn right is is personal!  To take away my CHOICE!!!  Now what???  What am I going to do, how will I make this work?  Well after many herbal supplements....and lots of hugs and calming words from my Fabulous husband and my wonderful children...and all my amazing friends....I will tell you what I am going to do...

I am going to keep on keeping on!!!!  That is it, I got a commercial real estate lady from my friend Kim (thank you Kimmy)  we looked at a  bunch of places....I have had talks with my friends parental units ( thank you Kirstin) My fabulous friends have been praying for me (thank you Sherry and Becky) I have decided to remain WIDE OPEN to receive all ideas!

Lots of things going on with the beautiful weather!

Hunter, my youngest son is dancing today with the Comerford School of Irish Dance at the Thurston County Fair.

This week at Sharin Memories is the LAST week of the Garage Sale, we still have a good selection of papers 4/$1.00...we are cleaning out the old, getting ready for all the new product that is coming in.....Most of it started to ship yesterday...so next week should be GREAT!!!

We are having a GIRLFRIENDS crop tomorrow...Friday night, or all day till 10 pm, and it is FREEEEEE!

Carole is having a class next week with the NEW Graphic 45!

Also, next Saturday we are having a SALAD Potluck Crop for $10.00 and a salad!

CHA releases

I know I know...I am so behind!  I am so sorry ladies, I have been super busy.  I worked at the Scrapbook EXPO all weekend doing make n takes for a booth called "RED BEE"  I was doing the new mini tubes from SRM...OMGosh these are so so cute.  Those were 2 really long days.  I did meet lots of great ladies....and 1 gentleman.  And I saw lots of gals from the store, so thanks for stopping by the booth to say hello!

Also Hunter...my Irish dancing boy, had a Feis (which is a competition) on Sunday up in Seattle, where I am proud to say that he did very very well!  Out of 3 dances he got a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd place!

Last Thursday I went to Portland to participate in the "Scrap Fest"  which is an event for buyers, they show off lots of new product for Fall and Winter, (beautiful stuff) we did make and takes with some of the new product, and... they put on a fabulous spread for lunch...an Italian buffet!  Amazing!

Most of the new product came in yesterday while I was in the middle of the "Kids Camp", and is already priced and out on the floor.  We have some really cool sort of chip board tri-fold shutters, in 2 shapes, and some really cool stars as well in 2 sizes, only some of the stickers and stamps came in.

New BoBunny "Zoo-ology came in yesterday too...Anyways, I want to give you a few sneak peeks...from CHA  and all the new stuff coming out...this is  the new TERESA COLLINS...  3 new lines!  I am a big fan, so please let me know what you think!

Summer Beauty!

Hello ladies....this is what I found roaming around my beautiful flower baskets yesterday....It made me wander where all the orange and black monarchs are?  I do not know.  But it occurs to me that I have not seen one in a very long time!

Today as I write this, I am thinking of a great project for next weeks "Kids Camp" ...had the first one this morning and I tell you what...these kids are so great, we all made the same thing and they all came out completely different.  I love the kids!  Their creativity comes out and shines through so cool!

Carole and I are tying desperately NOT to order anything till after they show us all the GREAT NEW goodies that are being released at Summer CHA, now if there is something that you see, and love and have to have...please let us know...we will try to get it for you.

The HUGE Used Product Sale is going on ALL week...so get on in to the store and check it out!

Happy Father's Day!

Yes it is the middle of June already!  My kids have been out of school for 2 days now, and are pacing around the house already.  We went up to nephew's graduation party yesterday and spent the day with family...we always LOVE that!  My sister in law...Billie is the BEST cook!  omg!  she made really simple chicken on a stick, in some kind of marinade, it was SO SO GOOD!!!  I wish this screen had smellavision, it was so Fabulous!

My flowers are all doing so well, and NOT getting fried in the heat we usually have by this time of year...here are some photos I have taken this week of my baskets and pots around the front area of the house!  ENJOY!

Memorial Day 2011

 We are home from a most wonderful visit to the cematary in Tumwater, Washington!  It is so beautiful with all the giant flags out.

  All of the Veterans burried here have another smallish flag by their headstones.  Mike and I brought the boys today and walked around and found service members from all walks of life and from all different places.  We saw markers the dated as far back as the Spanish American War...all the way upto and including a fallen soilder from our hometown of Rainer that went to my kids High School.  We paid tribute to all and it was a beautiful day.  The boys really liked it too.  Enjoy your day everyone and come and see me this week at the store!

Hello ladies...well it is the end to another week...boy, Now that I am "50"....the days just fly by!  Actually they have been flying for quite sometime now! 

The Used Product Sale is going on today and tomorrow.  We will be closed on Sunday in Observance of Memorial Day.

 I will be helping out along with my husband and 2 boys at the very small service the American Legion out in Rainer does at our local cemetery....I think it is important to teach our children that this is just not a "day off of school"  There is a reason behind it!

BEST Birthday EVER!!!!

Oh MY Goodness!!!!  My very dear and sweet friends had the best birthday party for me EVER....It was great and all of my scrapbook friends that came...It was just the best!  And all my other friends who came, and all the surprise friends that came!!!  I am just so so LUCKY!!!  It was truly the BEST!  Thank you my friends!  And all the FANTASTIC food, those weird little tomatoe things with the bacon, and all the sinful, sinful cuupcakes, OMG where did you get them?, and the veggies, and those AMAZING chocolate covered Strawberries...THE BOMB!!!  The food and all the treats...so GREAT!  So wonderful to see all of you!  Thank you Thank you Thank you!

So now that I am 50..that's right!  50...I know I know  (I only look maybe 45 right!!)  ha ha hah....Anyways, I am at the half way mark and I have lots nad lots to do!  I am starting tomorrow!  I know funny right???  But I just spent the last 2 days at the Lacey Fun Fair, meeting new folks...telling them about the store..hoping they will come and be new scrapbooking friends and customers....That was my goal for the weekend there!!!  That is all for now, I am bushed!

Rain rain go away!!!

Usually I see the glass as "half full"....but I am here to tell you, I am officially sick and tired of the rain!  yes, that is right! 

We have peas and beans, carrots and lettuce, potatoes and zucchini, strawberries and blueberries all planted, and waiting for SUNSHINE!!!!!!  Please!

I do not mind the rain...but now I am ready for the sun...hey, is that a song?  I dunno!

We butchered the very first batch of chickens this week, oh my goodness!!!  They were huge, I cannot wait to eat one of them!

We are getting ready for the SUPER CROP at the store...the date is June 18Th 2011 from 10 to 10, hope to see some of you there!

Went to see "PRIEST" today...it was interesting to say the least....I am still on the fence with this movie.

Scrapbook CLUB was so great on Friday...I just love these ladies....you know...anyone can join!

Nikki started her "altered book club" on Sunday...OMG!!!  you should see what they started, it is amazing...you can join that club too!
